When you’ve spent most of your life on social media, it’s easy to feel like you’ve seen it all. You would think that there are only so many ways that other people can shock, disgust, or traumatize us with the things that they choose to post.
Unfortunately, this is frequently proved to not be the case. The human race is 110% demented, and loves to broadcast this as loudly and as often as possible. What’s even worse is that despite everything, many of us can’t get enough of being witness to this ridiculousness.
Cringe is such an inbuilt part of our psyche that we have no choice but to look. We’re in luck that there are so, so many examples of it out there. None of us are free of the being cringe, and none of us are free of the need to feel it. We may as well embrace it.
