Mystery is often portrayed as a bad thing. Being the somber, level-headed and logical people that we’re supposed to be, any kind of great unknown is meant to be frowned upon.
It’s a shame to think this way all the time, because it means that we miss out on so much. Many of the true joys in life come from the element of surprise, as can be shown in the variation and enduring popularity of memes. We just can’t get enough of these random tidbits, even though they don’t always make a lot of sense, or even deal with the most realistic of topics.
All that matters is the entertainment value, which even the more boring types of meme can provide. Hopefully most of the memes that are here are on a better level than that, but they don’t have to be to satisfactorily pass the hours away without us noticing.
