Not every person who claims to be your friend actually is. They might think they’re being nice, but if they’re talking about you behind your back or they’re secretly contemptuous of you, word will eventually spread back to you. A real friend would’ve been thrilled for them, but this woman just wanted her friend to thank her over and over forever.
