Meltdowns aren’t just for babies and toddlers. Retail workers have to deal with grown adults having tantrums every day. There are lots of folks who are led to believe that the only way they’ll get what they want is to be aggressive and demanding about it. Technically, this does work some of the time, but it’s dehumanizing to the workers, who are just people too. Retail workers deserve so much respect, and receive so little from the very people they’re helping to pick out a shirt or ring up groceries.
