It’s National Pasta Day, and I intend to celebrate. Pasta was one of the first foods I ever learned to cook with heat and water (I don’t count frozen waffles as “learning to cook”), and I continue to enjoy it to this day. The trickiest thing about this food group is knowing when enough is enough. I always make way too much pasta, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing! There’s a little thing called “meal prepping,” and many accomplished healthy people do it often. The problem is figuring out when I should stop eating the spaghetti or rigatoni or whatever. There’s nothing worse than eating too much pasta and feeling sick to your stomach after devouring what should’ve been a 10/10 meal. On this National Pasta Day, I vow only to eat one and a half bowls of pasta and save the rest for the non-National Pasta Days ahead of me.
