In 2007, it was all the rage to have an outrageously extreme side part, razor cut layers, a mustache tattooed on your finger, and an iPod full of music that makes you want to wear all black and scream in the pouring rain. Simply put, those were the golden years for emo kids everywhere. It turns out, none of us ever grew out of this phase and turned our depression and mental illness into an aesthetic that would follow us into adulthood. The only thing some of us left behind is the black eyeliner and fervently and wholeheartedly hating our parents.
