Most generations feel like they have it hard in some way or another, but few have been given the range to complain about it like millennials and Gen Z. The times we live in can be overwhelming, and it has resulted in numerous despairing memes over the years.
Not everyone supports this wave of self-pitying content, though. A meme recently posted to Twitter has been provoking some fierce debate thanks to the stance it takes on what millennials have dealt with throughout the course of their lives. It mentioned some of the things that this generation have lived through before they hit 40, such as 9/11 or Y2K.
People of all ages took issue with this message, with many claiming that those born earlier had dealt with a far more difficult youth. At the same time, some protested that it still wasn’t easy to be a younger person in this day and age. I guess it’s all relative.
