It seems like every workplace has at least one overly serious manager. They’re the person who never cracks a smile or a joke. They ignore employees since they’re staring at a clipboard or their phone instead. And they love to make workers stick to the rules without fail.
They can’t resist telling everyone what to do, but that doesn’t tend to gain them much respect from the people who work for them. These managers probably aggrandize themselves in their minds, thinking that everyone fears them and admires their strict business mindset. Instead, I’m sure all of these employees just mock them behind their backs. It’s hard to scare or bully your employees into trusting your leadership!
Some of the things people were punished for are shockingly innocent. It seems like for many employees, these incidents were some of their final straws before they finally decided to leave the company for good.
