So, the story starts out with the OP’s Karen of a stepsister mortifying her at a family dinner. She drops the bombshell that she’s expecting, and then, in an attempt at a toast, she calls out her sister for being “bigger in size and heart.” Not cool. And if that wasn’t enough, the stepsister then thanks the OP for letting her borrow her wedding dress (because, again, she’s a size bigger, and our villain is excepting) – a dress the OP hasn’t even had the chance to wear herself, we should mention. It’s a double whammy that brings our OP to tears. One, she’s fuming about her stepsister stealing her dress, and two, she’s hurt by the weight comment in front of the whole fam.
But wait, there’s more insanity. The stepsister took it up a notch and started making threats against her unborn child, all because the OP said no to the dress loan. Yeah, you read that right. Now, the OP’s actually considering handing over the dress just to shut her stepsister down and keep the peace for the sake of her future niece or nephew.
