This Karen, of course, was one of those entitled rich folks. She waltzed into a retail store, completely bypassing the employees on her way to the changing room. The common procedure at the store is for employees to ask customers how many items they are bringing in and to press their bags to censor as they come in. When a young teenage girl working at the store confronted the customer, she would end up being shamed for following the standard procedures outlined by her manager. On top of that, Karen pushed the employee and numerous staff members and customers witnessed it. When the manager intervened, they ultimately sided with Karen because evidently, she was friends with the owner of the chain.
Here’s the cold, hard truth: regardless of who you know, everyone should have to follow the rules. Furthermore, no one should get away with inappropriate behavior like pushing an employee against a wall. The manager is lucky if they don’t end up getting sued down the road.
