It doesn’t matter if you’re actually busy; the appearance of productivity is the most important thing. That can be difficult because things you might want to do, like reading or scrolling through TikTok, are strictly off-limits. You can fake productivity for a while, but management eventually catches on to your little schemes. This scenario happened to Redditor u/Gasp32, who worked as a departmental auditor in a warehouse.
