Some folks want to mess around and find out, and this waiter was happy to oblige.
Entitled people are everywhere, and this person shared that while waiting tables at the Jersey Shore, these folks made their presence known. The OP spotted them by who has the fakest tan. The OP, u/iamjayjayisme, knew that as a waiter, they had to let the entitled diners get away with whatever they wanted—tips were on the line!
For waiters and waitresses, dealing with entitled people is just part of day-to-day life. In fact, some people are so haughty that when the waiter approaches them with a greeting, they don’t say hello. Instead, they’ll bark out their drink order. So the conversation goes something like: Waiter: “Welcome to this restaurant, I’m Dave and I’ll be taking your—” Customer: “Diet Coke!” That’s a next level of disrespectful, and it apparently happens to waitstaff constantly. As one person noted, why would you ever trifle with the people making your food? You really want to be snooty to the people who are about to cook your burger and fries? Even if no one messes with your food, you’re left wondering if your actions caused the staff to mangle your meal in some way.
Next up, these people tripped, bumbled, and flailed into some wildly embarrassing situations, like a waiter who dropped six root beers on a table of six business men.
