As they have become more and more of an integral part of our lives, memes have achieved many things. They have changed opinions, influenced politics, and started too many arguments to count. More important than this, though, is the fact that they have made us laugh and are going to continue to do so for as long as we see fit. Too often, we turn to the wrong things to make us feel better. While many memes might not exactly be right, at least they make us feel good. The ones that don’t even do that at least give our mind something else to focus on, other than our worries. One of their greatest achievements of all is the great big distraction factory that they create. We all rely on it now and again, as with this list, and many others. We’ve got to hand it to them for doing it so successfully, time and again.
