If there is one thing I am glad about when it comes to being born in this day and age, it’s the feat of modern medicine. Many of us would be screwed without it if we’d existed at any earlier point in history. However, I’m not above noting that lifestyle choices are also a great way of improving overall health. Technically speaking, memes probably aren’t that ‘good’ for us. They shorten our attention spans and change our ability to communicate in ways that a lot of people would probably say are not great. Nonetheless, they still do something vital for us: they make us happy. Keeping our mood up is important for our health, and we can maybe argue that this justifies all these hours that we spend staring at screens for entertainment. We could get an actual hobby, but hey, that requires effort that we don’t need to make when the memes are right here.
