Having a consistent workout routine does wonders for the body and mind. Getting to see your progress day in and day out makes it worthwhile to get out of bed even when you don’t want to. Noticing you can lift a little bit more than last time… that’s a feeling as good as one could hope to have in this life. So why is it so hard to commit to a regular schedule? There are so many temptations that wish to lead us astray.
That’s why I think we should get a little more credit for when we do show up. Our ancestors didn’t have to fight the urge to look at TikTok or DoorDash a chicken sandwich.
